3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5. Payments & Fees

All prices displayed are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated. Travoa reserves the right to change pricing at any time with reasonable notice. You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account, including applicable taxes. Payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers, and Travoa does not store your full credit card details.

6. Travel Club Subscriptions

Travoa Travel Club memberships (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) are subscription-based services. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until cancelled. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as stated in our Refund Policy. You may cancel your subscription at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to: use the Services for any unlawful purpose; violate any applicable laws or regulations; infringe upon the rights of others; interfere with or disrupt the Services; upload malicious code or engage in any activity that could damage or impair the Services; or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Travoa platform — including text, graphics, logos, images, software, AI models, and trademarks — is the property of Travoa AI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Travoa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We act as an intermediary for third-party travel services and are not liable for the performance of airlines, hotels, or other service providers.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Your continued use of the Services after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

1. General Refund Principles

Travoa is committed to fair and transparent refund practices. This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be granted for products and services purchased through the Travoa platform. Refund eligibility depends on the type of service purchased and the timing of the request.

2. Travel Club Membership Refunds

Travoa Travel Club subscriptions (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum tiers) are non-refundable once the payment has been processed. This is because membership benefits — including exclusive deals, AI itinerary credits, and community access — are granted immediately upon subscription. You may cancel anytime, and your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, at which point you will not be charged further.

3. Travel Booking Refunds

Refunds for flight bookings, hotel reservations, airport transfers, and other travel services are subject to the cancellation and refund policies of the respective service providers (airlines, hotels, transfer companies). Travoa acts as an intermediary and will facilitate refund requests on your behalf. The following timeframes apply:

  • Flights: Subject to airline policies — may range from fully refundable to non-refundable depending on fare class
  • Hotels: Typically refundable if cancelled 24-72 hours before check-in (varies by property)
  • Airport Transfers: Fully refundable if cancelled 24+ hours before scheduled pickup
  • Travel Insurance: Cooling-off period of 14 days from purchase (if no claim has been made)

Any service provider cancellation fees will be deducted from the refund amount. Travoa's service fee is non-refundable unless the refund is due to an error on our part.

4. Visa Service Refunds

Visa service fees are non-refundable once the application process has commenced, as our team begins work immediately upon receiving your documents. Government visa application fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, as these are paid directly to the respective embassy or consulate.

5. Marketplace & Travoa Verified Refunds

For services booked through the Travoa Marketplace from verified providers (tour guides, drivers, hosts, sellers), refunds are governed by the individual provider's policy as displayed on their listing. Travoa will mediate disputes between travellers and providers. If a provider fails to deliver the agreed service, a full refund will be issued.

6. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund request, email refunds@travoa.ai with your booking reference number, the reason for the refund, and any supporting documentation. We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 5-10 business days.

7. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method. The time it takes for funds to appear in your account depends on your payment provider:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
  • EFT/Bank Transfer: 3-5 business days
  • PayFast/Ozow: 3-7 business days
  • SnapScan: 5-10 business days

Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Cancellation Policy applies to all services booked through the Travoa platform. Cancellation terms vary based on the type of service and the service provider's policies. Please review the specific cancellation terms for your booking carefully before confirming.

2. Travel Club Membership Cancellation

You may cancel your Travoa Travel Club subscription at any time — no questions asked. Cancellation can be done through your account dashboard or by contacting our support team. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and you will retain all membership benefits until that date. No further charges will be applied after cancellation.

3. Flight Cancellations

  • Within 24 hours of booking: Most airlines allow free cancellation within 24 hours of booking for flights departing at least 7 days later
  • After 24 hours: Subject to airline cancellation policies — fees may range from R500 to full fare forfeiture
  • Non-refundable fares: No refund available; some airlines may offer a travel credit
  • Airline-initiated cancellations: If the airline cancels your flight, you are entitled to a full refund or rebooking at no extra cost

4. Hotel & Accommodation Cancellations

  • Free Cancellation: Many properties offer free cancellation up to 24-72 hours before check-in
  • Partial Refund: Some properties charge a cancellation fee (typically one night's rate)
  • Non-Refundable: Discounted rates are often non-refundable — check the rate terms before booking
  • No-Show: Failure to check in without cancellation will result in full charge

5. Airport Transfer Cancellations

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time
  • Cancellations within 24 hours: 50% refund
  • Cancellations within 6 hours or no-show: No refund

6. Visa Service Cancellations

Visa processing fees are non-refundable once document preparation has begun. If you cancel before documents are submitted to the embassy, you may be eligible for a partial refund of the Travoa service fee. Government embassy fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

7. Marketplace Booking Cancellations

Cancellation terms for Travoa Verified providers are displayed on each listing. Generally:

  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the service date
  • 50% refund for cancellations 24-48 hours before
  • No refund for cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows

8. How to Cancel

9. Force Majeure

In cases of natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, or other circumstances beyond anyone's control, Travoa will work with service providers to secure the best possible outcome — whether a refund, credit, or rebooking. Each case will be assessed individually.
